CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) is one of the three core requirements of the International Baccalaureate. Participating in the school’s CAS programme encourages students to be involved in artistic pursuits, sports and community service work, thus fostering students’ awareness and appreciation of life outside the academic arena. CAS PHILOSOPHY “...if you believe in something, you must not just think or talk or write, but must act” (Peterson (2003) CAS PROJECTS AT VIS 2010-11 One of the key projects on the 2010-11 school year has seen our 1°class IB students enthusiastically wording with the Find The Cure organization to spread awareness of and raise funds for its humanitarian projects. Our involvement with Find the Cure will move one step further next schoolyear, when a group fo VIS students will join the volonteers in Tanziana on the Msolwa School project.
