Admissions tests Upper Secondary School 2025/26

Admissions tests are mandatory for enrolment in the UPPER SECONDARY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (IGCSE/ICE and IBDP).

The admission tests for the 2025/26 school year are scheduled as follows.

First session:

  • Tuesday 14 January 2025 - from 14:30 to 17:30
  • Wednesday 15 January 2025 - from 14:30 to 16:30
  • Thursday 16 January 2025 - from 14:30 to 16:30

Second session:

  • Tuesday 1 July 2025 - 14:30 to 17:30
  • Wednesday 2 July 2025 - 14:30 to 16:30

 

Admissions tests include:

IGCSE / ICE – Grades 9 and 10

  • Written exam in Italian (grammar, reading comprehension and writing); Tests are also available for Italian as a Second Language;
  • Interview in English (minimum requirement B1 Common European Framework);
  • Written exam in English (grammar, reading comprehension, and listening - minimum requirement B1 Common European Framework);
  • Mathematics written exam (required only for the scientific track).

IB DIPLOMA PROGRAMME – Grades 11 and 12

  • Written exam in Italian (reading comprehension and writing). Tests are also available for Italian as a Second Language;
  • Interview in English (minimum requirement B2 Common European Framework);
  • Written exam in English (grammar, reading comprehension, and listening - minimum requirement B2 Common European Framework);
  • Mathematics exam (for the Scientific track only) or
  • French / Spanish exam (for the Linguistic track only) or
  • Critical thinking and analysis exam (for the Humanistic track only).

While registering for the admissions test, please indicate if the candidate has previous experience at other International schools or has language certifications in English, French, or Spanish. These certifications are not necessary, but they can help us understand the student’s linguistic preparation.

To guarantee the best possible context for your child’s admissions tests it is useful for us, if you provide any medical, psychological or BES certifications so that extra time or the use of a computer can be organized for the admissions test.
