The event, which took place in the heart of Manhattan just a stone's throw from Times Square, was attended by over 5000 students from all over the world. Acting as ambassadors and diplomats, our students discussed international political issues in English, following the procedural rules of the United Nations.

MUNER New York 2025
From 19 to 27 March 2025, 43 students from Liceo Europeo and Vittoria International School (VIS) had an unforgettable experience in New York, participating in the MUNER New York project, an official Model United Nations simulation.

The simulation work was coordinated by international staff from the most prestigious American universities (including Harvard University). The participating students not only had an intense training experience during the simulation, but also had the opportunity to meet diplomats working in New York at the Permanent Representations (mission briefing), as well as to personally get to know the various professional figures working in the Italian Consulate General in New York and the Italian Permanent Mission to the United Nations.
An educational and cultural journey
Besides simulation, the trip offered multiple opportunities for cultural enrichment:
- A special twinning with the Italian School of New York
- A reception for teachers, a valuable opportunity to build new relationships between schools from all over Italy.
- Participation in a special evening with the Delegate Dance, where the students were able to socialise and have fun.

Visit iconic New York landmarks such as Central Park, the World Trade Center and the Statue of Liberty during a cruise to Staten Island.
An unforgettable speech
During the visit to the Glass Palace, Giulio P., one of our students already part of the Excellence Programme, was chosen to give a speech in front of an international audience. His speech, focusing on cooperation and collaboration between peoples, was a moment of great pride for our entire school.

Conclusion of an extraordinary experience
The MUNER New York 2025 project ended with inspiring speeches by Martin Luther King III and Italian singer Giusy Ferreri.
An experience that allowed our students to develop public speaking, leadership and diplomacy skills, but also to create unforgettable memories and bonds with young people from all over the world.
We are proud of our students for representing Vittoria Schools with commitment, intelligence and passion! 🌍✨
