Three educational experiences in kindergarten

Over the past few days, the Kindergarten participated in three significant activities: the Day of Worn Socks, a lesson on the functioning of the heart with Dr. Comoglio Chiara, and teacher training as part of the SEI Integrated System 0-6.

Odd Socks Day

On Friday, 7 January, the Day of the Barefoot Socks took place, an initiative designed to promote inclusion and respect for diversity through playful-educational activities.

  • Year 3 class: the children listened to the song "The Three Odd Socks", which tells the story of three socks that are different from each other but united by a strong friendship. The activity stimulated reflection on the importance of accepting differences in a positive way.

  • Year 4 class: through the story of Pezzettino, the children explored the concept of uniqueness. After the reading, they hung up mismatched socks as a symbol of diversity and belonging.

  • Year 5 class: the children read the book "Tutti i colori della vita" by Chiara Gamberale, donated to the school during the #ioleggoperché initiative. The story offered food for thought on the importance of welcoming new experiences without fear.

Lesson on the heart with grandmother and Dr Chiara Comoglio

The children of the 5-year-old class participated in a lecture given by Dr Comoglio Chiara, a heart surgeon at the Maria Pia Hospital in Turin and grandmother of two of our childrens. Using clear and interactive language, she explained how the heart works, showing an anatomical model and answering the children's questions. The meeting aroused great interest, allowing us to explore the topic of cardiovascular health in a simple and engaging way.

Teacher training in the SEI Integrated System 0-6

The pre-school has joined the SEI Integrated System 0-6, promoted by the University of Turin, an educational model that aims to guarantee a continuous learning path for children from birth to six years of age. Teachers are participating in a training cycle that began in October and will end in March, with the aim of fostering educational continuity, promoting inclusion and offering targeted support to families.

These activities represent important moments in the school's educational journey, offering children stimulating learning experiences and contributing to the professional growth of the teaching staff.
